What’s the best ERP for your business? 🤔

Writing a work process

It’s a very common question.

But before choosing a system, it’s often useful to ask yourself another one:

What are my current processes, and what would I like to improve or optimize to create value? 🙂

Once you have clarity about your processes, that’s when you can go to the market and evaluate an ERP that truly fits your real operations.

At LEVEL IT, we work with Dolibarr ERP+CRM, and we deploy it, maintain it, and develop custom modules based on specific needs. It’s a 100% Open Source solution—simple, flexible, and robust.

Even though it’s an excellent ERP, we’re also realistic: depending on the type and size of the company, other options may be a better fit.

A key point to keep in mind when choosing an ERP:
👉 Be realistic and accept that, in its standard form, an ERP system will typically cover around 80% to 90% of a company’s requirements.

Even with “world-class” solutions, there’s usually a gap where part of the business adapts to the system’s standard, and another part is solved through configuration, extensions, or custom development.

Also, ERP implementation is rarely just about technology. It’s usually a team effort involving:

👉 The client
👉 The deployment partner
👉 Key users / end users

An ERP will work well when:

👉 it is correctly implemented and configured according to your processes
👉 the deployer or consultant understands the business
👉 and users receive support and training to adopt it properly

More than looking for “the best ERP,” the most important thing is to start with what matters most: your processes.

They are the foundation for a good selection—and for a successful, sustainable implementation over time.

If you’re evaluating an ERP, we can help you organize your processes and define a realistic selection criteria.
